Haworth & Lexon was retained to lodge a lawsuit against the "NIPPON PAINT" trademark infringement and anti-unfair competition (passing off), the case has already got its initial ruling.
Currently our firm represented Hong Kong Nipsea International Limited suing Wuhan Libang Paint Co. Ltd for trademark infringement and against unfair competition. The case has already got its initial ruling in September from Wuhan Intermediate People's Court. The court holds that "N" and "Nippon Paint" trademark are well-known trademark. The defendant should stop the infringement, change the trade name and compensate the loss. The case relates the legal issues of conflict between trademark and trade name. The delegates from all over the world in the industry attended the conference. Dozen of speakers from China National Light Industry association, Shanghai Foreign Investment Service Center, Promar International, 7-Eleven, Inc, egistics Corporation, Anderson, etc. also gave their speeches at the Conference. The topic of Mr. Yang's speech is Legal Issues Pertaining to Food & Drinks Retail and Distribution in China.
